Children's charity gets a boost from sports awards

This is another news about children’s charity work from another website that paying much attention to this field. It was reported on 11th August 2010.
The first paragraph is in the black body because it summarizes the event in a general way. It is good for the readers who are always scanning the whole article instead of reading words one by one. It mentions that Hull Children's University will be the first organization to benefit from Hull and East Yorkshire (HEY) Sporting Heroes and Champions Awards' grant scheme. And then there is a picture showing that HSBC is founded.

The following paragraphs are talking about the process of the establishment of HSBC. How is the grant carried out? What is the specific situation during the process? Who has done the most of the event successfully? So many questions are answered in the several paragraphs.

About the relevant links, there is only one part which specifically showed the way to get access the related news. They are indicated by the date of the report; readers can also get access to news which is reported on the last few months.

It is special that the clock and search area is showed on the right side of the whole page. And the travel news is also can be linked in this news. But I don’t think it is a good way to set up the advantage of the website.

In summary, the news works despite of some disadvantages. Noting is perfect. If you want to know more about the HSBC, please click

SOS Haiti Emergency Appeal

Welcome to the SOS Children’s Village again. This time, I focus on the news “SOS Children Appealing for funds for Haiti Emergency”. The title has clearly explained what the author is going to say in the following page.

When I take my first sight on this news, the first thing I saw is the picture, which is showed in the left side of the online page. It tells us the area that the event has happened. The visualized and explicit image gives us the outline of the area.

The most mentionable point is that the links of the article are not only on the right side, but also among the lines of the news. For instance, the first sentence is “See also Latest Haiti earthquake news”, which is a useful link for this kind of news. There are other similar examples are to be found when readers begin to read.

The content of this article is showing the well established charity in Haiti (since 1978) , beginning from the second paragraph to the last paragraph. The important information and unimportant information is clearly being described. People can distinguish them easily when they read the words among the lines.

The last paragraph is attractive to people because of the new form of ending. It lists the examples of what a donation to SOS Children Haiti Emergency Relief could typically do. And the “Donate to Haiti” is easy to found in the bottom of the page.

South Africa Continues Fight Against AIDS

I’ve read online news titled “South Africa Continues Fight Against AIDS” from the board of “Child charity news” in the webpage of “children’s village”, which focuses on children’s charity issue all over the world.

Which impressed me most on the webpage are two children who are keeping eyes out with expressions, like both of them are telling or begging for something from the warm world. As two simple phrases “Sponsor a child” and “33$ a month” showed under the photo obviously, I realized that only 33$ can save a pathetic child who is living in South Africa without clean water and sanitation at present. It’s certain that anyone with good heart who catches sight on this news will be sympathetic and likely to help them.

The whole article begins with a succinct foreword, indicating that the situation of AID infection in South Africa tends to be better, but still is a major challenge. It makes readers clearly know the general idea and the angle of the story. Then the following page tells us the state of affairs in the South Africa about the circumstances of HIV/AID, which is closely related to the mortality of kids, especially of who are under five years old. It is shocked and oppressive to realize the relentless fact is relentless.

It is evident that massive of figures are showed in the article to certify the conditions in the areas struggling with the devil of AID. The numbers as well as percentages in the sentences are properly proved the relationship between the AIDS and death, AIDS and birth.

The layout of the online story is better than others had been referred to in my blogs. From the arrange of the websites related to children’s charity to the colors of relevant news boards, almost everything is presenting the good design, making readers understand and get access to each stories well.

Therefore, please kick the following website of what I mentioned above:

Review on India must take responsibility for polio eradication

There is subhead under the title, saying that “When polio prevention is so simple, it is immoral for wealthy Indians to allow the virus a safe future”. So we can know that this online news is talking about the event related the polio in India. It is inferred that the author is complaining about the wealthy Indians who are selfish and indifferent to children’s charity.

The article is so long that readers may not likely to keep reading it. And the structure is not clear enough. But if you can keep on reading it, you’ll find that it really works.

And then the author describes the three programs in details so as to make readers trust what she said and concern about what she is going to say in the following words. She summarizes these programs to tell us that polio is a tough problem that India faces, by narrating her opinions about the related events happened in both US and India. What she wants to say is clearly showed in this news. People can know that as soon as he finishes reading the whole page.
